The Way, The Truth, and The Life
Globe is a series of illuminated spheres that takes its thesis from John 14:6: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Each sphere is a polycarbonate shell painted with acrylics and mixed media, then lit from within to create a translucent glow.
The works present three manifestations: The Way, The Truth, and The Life, using color, layering, and opacity to symbolize facets and narratives of the Gospels.
The Way
A vision of deliverance opened by God and narrowed into a path that leads to life.
Two forces, oceanic blue for hope and radiant white for the transformative power of God, shear apart along the horizon to form a passage from bondage to promise, echoing the New Testament’s narrow way that few find yet which leads to eternity.
The Truth
A symbol of faith as God speaks to Moses in Exodus 3:14, “I AM WHO I AM,” and Jesus says, “before Abraham was born, I am,” in John 8:58. Fired with strata of light like the burning bush, the sphere discloses the His identity through an atmosphere of radiance and holiness. It gathers the Creator’s glory from beginning to end, offering continuity, clarity, and certainty.
The Life
Three ascending currents of red, yellow, and white interweave like living branches across the sphere.
Red signifies the saving blood of Christ, yellow evokes the vigilant and protective presence of the Holy Spirit, and white points to God the Father, omnipresent Creator and Lord of all.
Distinct yet inseparable strokes form a visual theology of the Trinity, and the thickened impasto at each crossing inscribes salvation, protection, and creation into the very grain of human experience.
